14 child labourers rescued from garment industry,2 employers arrested and 9 establishment sealed

4th October, 2012, New Delhi

On a complaint filed by Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA), 14 child victims of trafficking forced labour were rescued from the garment industry in old Seelampur in East Delhi today. The rescue operation was led by Mr. Sandeep Gulati(SDM,Geeta Colony) accompanied by police, members of Labour Department and activists of BBA.

17 child labourers including 2 girls rescued from North-West Delhi,4 Employers arrested

On a complaint filed by Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA),17 child labourers including 2 minor girls,who were victims of forced labour, were rescued from plastic and blanket cover making industry in (Bavana industrial area)North-West Delhi. The rescue operation was led by Mr. Ajay Arora (SDM,Narela) accompanied by police, members of Labour Department and activists of BBA.

36 Children released from Garment industry and Hotel dhabas in North-East Delhi; 8 employers arrested, 10 Building sealed

7th,August, 2012 Delhi:  In a raid conducted on belalf of Bachpan Bachao Andolan on today in North-East district of Delhi, 36 child labourers were rescued from garment industry and hotel-dhabas. The rescue operation was led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Geeta Colony Mr. Sandeep Gulati, accompanied by police, members of Labour Department and activists of Bachpan Bachao Andolan(BBA).
 

18 Released from the Grip of Traffickers in Tirupur

August 3rd, 2012, Tirupur: In one of the biggest human trafficking rackets in the history of the state of Tamil Nadu, the police of Tamil Nadu along with activists of Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA), successfully rescued 15 children and 3 adults from the custody of the traffickers. All of them were brought to work in packaging industries in Tirupur and belong to the district of Darbhanga, in Bihar. The two traffickers have been arrested and the interrogation is in progress, leading to releasing of more children (still in process), carefully hidden away in different pockets of the city. 

11 Child Labourers rescued from West Delhi, 4 Employers Arrested

31st July, 2012 New Delhi:  At a complaint filed by Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA), 11 child labourers who were victims of trafficking for forced labour, were rescued from garment industries in West Delhi. The rescue operation was led by Mr. P V Tyagi, Tehsildar of Dabri police station, accompanied by police, members of Labour Department and activists of BBA.
 

BBA activists attacked while rescuing child labourers from Central Delhi

11th July, 2012 New Delhi   Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) activists were attacked while rescuing trafficked bonded child labourers in the capital today. A team of BBA had identified more than 100 children working in the area of Nabi Kareem in Zari, Embroidery and Leather industries. The rescue teams led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mr. Mani Bhushan Malhotra (Nabi Kareem police station) and accompanied by police, members of Labour Department and BBA activists were prepared to raid 6 different locations where child labourers had been identified.
