10 children from Garment Unit rescued from Ludhiana, Punjab

In the month of August, BBA conducted 1 raid, rescuing 10 children from a garment unit in Ludhiana, Punjab. An FIR has been registered and the employers are in the process of being arrested. Most of the rescued children belonged to Bihar and Janakpur (Nepal). This month, the VA team won back-wages for former child labourers worth Rs. 2,60,444 (for 22 children). In our short-term rehabilitation centre Mukti Ashram, Delhi, 66 children were given care and protection in August and 56 children were repatriated to their families.
