Key Responsibity Area

  • Responsible for overall growth of internal and external communication of the organistation.
  • Responsible for making the quality material for all the campaigns.

 

 Programmatic Management

Communications

  • Ensure communication of all programme related events/information with NGOs, Trade Unions, and Student’s Unions.
  • Ensuring that the website is updated on a daily basis and collect and share the organizational news of the events.
  • Publication of periodical, fact finding reports for website, e-communications & awareness raising activities.
  • Keeping track of policies, discussions, decisions of the State government, in relation to Child rights esp. child labour, child trafficking and child sexual abuse.
  • Oversees the planning and execution of the programme activities, a forum which promotes collaboration among a variety of stakeholders.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with the funders by providing frequent updates and other communications.
  • Identifies and ensures availability of information needed by organizational partners relating operational research.
  • Works with the Project Director to identify additional areas where the organisation can promote and strengthen collaboration.

Campaigns

  • Make a concrete campaigns & communication strategies with projected concrete results for a year.
  • Coordinate advocacy/media campaign related activities of the programmes.
  • Understanding of all the programmes and preparation & updating regular brochures, pamphlets, campaign related material.
  • Undertake field activities for monitoring and evaluation of project activities and any other progress.
  • Coordinate with other departments for their campaign related activities and assist in designing the campaign work.

 

Partner Communication

PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of short- and long-term strategic plans for partnership development, undertaking new initiatives and projects to recruit new partners and develop relationships.  

  • Oversees the planning and execution of the programme activities, a forum which promotes collaboration among a variety of stakeholders.
  • Works with the operational team to update the website and collect and share the organizational news of the events .
  • .Establishes and nurtures strong relationships with the funders by providing frequent updates and other communications, and writing meeting reports, and onboarding new members to either group.
  • Identifies and ensures availability of information needed by organizational partners relating operational research.
  • Works with the Project Director to identify additional areas where the organisation can promote and strengthen collaboration.
  • Ensuring timely, appropriate and quality communication to all supporters of BBA;
  • Monitoring and evaluating supporters of organisation communications on a regular basis;
  • Briefing the Project Director on supporter specific communication;
  • Developing strategies for communicating with different kinds of supporters;
  • Growing one-time supporter into repeat supporter and into long-term supporters by constantly finding ways to increase their engagement with the organization’s work.

 

Documentation

  • Document all inspiring success stories, efforts, challenges and internal & external discussions.
  • Making monthly reports and reporting for every major activity or events related to campaign from other departments of the organization.

 

Fund Raising

  • Build contact development for fund raising and related activities.
  • Make a detailed list of all contacts made by you in networking, advocacy, media and lobbying activities.

 

Financial Management:

  • Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports,   and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures of the  concerned projects.
  • Approving the bills and the requirements of all procurements and purchases for the   concerned projects and activities.
  • Making the Monthly Action Plan for activities including the budgetory allocation as   per the project budget.
  • Oversee financial monitoring of the project in association with the organisation’s financial manual

 

Administrative & HR

  • Oversee delivery of activities in accordance with prior-approved budgets.
  • Identify need based training of the staff in accordance with organisational policy and carry out appraisal based on agreed work plan.
  • Assist the Project Director in the process of recruitment by identifying and interviewing the candidates for the project positions.
  • Ensure implementation of all policies of the organization in your projects.
  • Communication skills: writing dynamic funding proposals and inspiring people to commit to the cause in question.
  • Interpersonal skills: you will be constantly interacting with people, persuading them of the value of your organisation.
  • Research skills and attention to detail: sourcing information and statistics, researching trends, assessing costs.

 

Ideal candidate should have

  • A minimum of 3-5 years professional experience
  • Professional experience running or working in public campaigns and advocacy efforts; creative agency experience will be considered
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail; self-driven and results orientated
  • Excellent leadership, management and negotiation skills; self-motivated and results oriented approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to motivate, influence, engage
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, experience building and engaging networks to action
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and English
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Children issues, Child rights and development issues at grass roots
