Thirteen Children Rescued in Punjab during Action Week Against Child Labour

As part of action week against child labour being held by the Punjab Government, thirteen children aged between 12- 16 years were rescued from Ludhiana. These children were trafficked from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to work as child labourers in the city.

13 Children Freed from Child Labour in Punjab

December 3 & 4, 2018

Thirteen children between 11- 15 years of age were rescued from Ludhiana in Punjab. They were trafficked from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to work as child labourers.

Eight Children Rescued from Mumbai and UP

November 29, 2018

Children trafficked from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to work as child labourers were rescued today by our Mumbai and Uttarakhand teams. Four children were rescued from Malad in Mumbai and the other four were freed from Selaqui in Uttarakhand.

Nine Children Rescued in Assam

November 20, 2018

Nine child labourers were rescued today from different establishments, including hotels, garage and fabrication units, in the Sivsagar district of Assam. Aged between 12 to 17 years. the children were forced to work for 12 to 14 hours a day. As per their statements, many of the rescued child labourers did not get any wages.

Four Children Rescued in Assam



November 14, 2018

The Assam team, in collaboration with the District Task Force (Kamrup Metro) and Jalukabari Outpost, conducted a rescue operation in the Jalukabri area and rescued four children.The children , aged between 12 to 13 years, worked in hotel dhaba/restaurants and a slaughter house where they were forced to work for more than 12 hours a day. Three of the children were Assam natives and the fourth hailed from Bihar. According to their statements, only one child had received Rs 1000 as wages.

Five Children rescued from Karawal Area, Delhi

November 1, 2018

Five children, all aged between 12-15 years, were rescued today from the Karawal Nagar area of Delhi, during a raid operation conducted in various industrial units such as welding, automobile, dry fruits factory, jeans, and stitching. The majority of the rescued children were trafficked from Uttar Pradesh and forced to work for 4-12 hours a day. An FIR was registered under sections 370 374 of IPC, Sec 75 79 JJ Act, Sec 16 bonded labour Act, Sec. 3 and 14 CLPRA.

Three Children Rescued from Mumbai and Rajasthan


October 31, 2018

We rescued two children from Mumbai and one from Rajasthan. The children rescued in Mumbai are aged between 14-15 years and worked in the hotel/dhaba and juice extract shops. Hailing from Ambedkar Nagar ,Uttar Pradesh and Katihar, Bihar, they were forced to work for more than 17 hours a day. An FIR was registered u/s 370 of IPC, 1860, 3 & 14 of CLPRA Amendment Act 2016, 75 and 79 of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2015, 16, 17 & 18 of Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976. The child rescued in Rajasthan is 15 years of age and was found working in an electronic shop . The child hails from Jaipur. An FIR was registered section 374 of IPC, 1860, 75 and 79 of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2015.
