On 20th September 2021, a delegation of Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) and Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation (KSCF), led by Shri Dhananjay Tingal, Executive Director of BBA met the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Khunti district, Jharkhand. The delegation carried out an extensive discussion on the development of a Joint Action Plan pertaining to the Aspirational District Programme (ADP) in the district.
The DC requested BBA for an in-depth training on child related laws for the officials of various departments of the districts like BDO, Police and PRI members. He emphasized on skill development of children and youth so that child trafficking can be stopped at the district level.
The delegation of BBA handed over the COVID-19 Care Kits to Dr. Riyaz Sayyad, SDO, Khunti, who received the kits on behalf of the DC.
Distribution of COVID Medical Kits to District Administration, Khunti, Jharkhand
The COVID medical kits have been sent to all 11 districts which will be distributed by the BBA staff to the District Administration. Currently the medical kits have been given to the District Administrations of Katihar and Purnea district of Bihar and Giridih and Khunti district of Jharkhand.
The kit included 2 jumbo 47 kilo liter of oxygen cylinder, 5000 masks, oxymeters, IR guns, PPE kits, gluco meters, BP meters, N95 masks etc.
