In a joint raid conducted by Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) and Railway Protection Force (RPF), 6 children were rescued from the Ahmedabad Express at Patna Junction railway station.

The rescue operation, conducted at 10 PM on 8 September, resulted in the arrest of 3 traffickers who were escorting the children from Bihar’s Kishanganj to Gujarat’s Rajkot and Ahmedabad. All the children were going to be pushed into child labour by the traffickers.

BBA’s timely intervention saved the childhood of 6 innocent children. They were produced before the Patna Child Welfare Committee (CWC) to facilitate their rehabilitation. Our team also facilitated the registration of FIR under sections of the Juvenile Justice Act, the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
