On 9th September 2021, 9 children were rescued by BBA from the train number 02407- Sampark Kranti Express. The rescue operation was conducted jointly by the team of BBA, GRP, CWC Ambala, Child line, DCPU and AHTU. The children were travelling from different districts of Bihar to Ludhiana, Punjab.
Upon verification of the Adhaar cards, 3 children were found to be overage and 2 children were travelling with their parents. Of the 9 children, 5 children were released and 4 children were taken to a CCI.
The children have been produced before the Child Welfare committee and 4 children have been sent to the CCI after their medical examination.
The SHO of GRP has registered a zero FIR in this case and has requested the 11 Police stations of Bihar, which are the source districts from where the children belonged, to register the FIR.
