In a coordinated operation between the Bachpan Bachao Andolan team of Punjab along with Labour Department, Police, Deputy Director Factories, Health Department, Education Department, Tehsildar, ChildLine and District Child Protection Unit from Ludhiana district, 10 children were rescued on August 5, 2021. The children were found to be working for more than 10 hours a day in the jacket manufacturing unit.

The children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee and have been sent to a local Child Care Institution.
