Based on Bachpan Bachao Andolan’s intervention, 5 children were rescued from bangle making units in Hyderabad on August 5. BBA had received information that children are working in few bangle making units in Bhavani Nagar P.S. and Bahadurpura P.S. area under Hyderabad Police Commissionerate.

The rescue operation was conducted in coordination with the Telangana State Women and Child Safety wing, Anti Human Trafficking Unit, Labour Department, Revenue Department, District Child Protection Unit and Hyderabad City Police.

FIR has been registered under CR.No- 145/2021, 375(5), 374 of IPC, 79 of JJ act, 14(1) of CLPRA, 17 and 18 of BLS Act. Two traffickers have been arrested in the case.

The children have been produced before the Child Welfare Committee and provided shelter in Children’s Home Hyderabad.
