On 15th October 2021, a rescue operation was conducted in collaboration with the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) – North, Police station Vidyadhar Nagar and team of BBA during which 4 child labourers were rescued from a bangle making unit in Jaipur. The children were found to be working in hazardous conditions near the fire and for long hours from early morning till late at night.
The trafficker tricked the children by making false promise to them and trafficked them from Churu district of Rajasthan to Jaipur. The children were also often beaten by the employer.
The employer was arrested from the unit itself and an FIR has been registered in the case. The medical checkup of children was conducted. They were produced before the Child Welfare Committee and later were sent to the Child Care Institute.
