On 11th October 2021, 3 child labourers were rescued from a house in Sanjay Nagar in Bhatta Basti area of Jaipur. The rescue operation was conducted in collaboration with the Police Station Bhatta Basti and BBA state team on the information shared by BBA to Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) Jaipur North.
The children used to work for more than 14 hours on a daily basis and were not provided enough food. They were only fed two times a day. All the 3 children identified are from Nalanda district of Bihar.
The employer was arrested from the same spot. An FIR has been registered in the case. The children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee and were sent to the Child Care Institute.
