On 17th January 2022, 8 children were rescued from two different railway stations including Kurda Railway station (5 children) and Vishakhapatnam Railway station (3 children) in coordination with the RPF, GRP, Child line and team of BBA.
The children were being trafficked from Katihar, Bihar to Banglore for working at a construction site. The children were in the age group of 12-16 years.
All the 8 rescued children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee for further course of rehabilitation. The registration of FIR is under process.
