Health camp caters to 80 villagers in MP
'A healthy mind resides in a healthy body'. BBA has seen that there is a serious shortage of doctors and medical services in rural India. To bring doctors to the remote area in Madhya Pradesh where we run our Bal Mitra Gram programme, BBA activists conducted a health camp in coordination with the state government. The health camp held in Bhilayan and Shankargarh saw a medically-equipped van, a local government hospital doctor and an attendant visit the villages.
In the month of September, BBA conducted 7 raids in Assam, Bihar, Delhi and Karnataka, rescuing 23 children. One raid was held in Assam, where BBA activists along with the Railway Police Force at Rangiya Railway Station, rescued a group of 7 girls and 5 boys including minors, who were being trafficked to Mumbai.
Keeping in line with the right of every child to education and the Sustainable Development Goal 4, BBA submitted specific recommendations to ensure the right to, the right in and the rights through education that should be accessible for every child.
