BBA Rescues 13 Trafficked Children from Ambala Railway Station

On 30th September 2021, a rescue operation was conducted at Ambala railway station during which 13 children were rescued who were being trafficked via Karmabhoomi Express. The rescue operation was conducted in coordination with the RPF, GRP, CWC, DCPU, Child line and BBA.

Out of 13 children, 9 children were from West Bengal and were going to Ludhiana to work in a potato farm. The trafficker had already paid Rs. 2000 to the parents of these 9 children. The rest 4 children were from Bihar and were going to work in a hosiery factory. The children were in the age group of 14 and 16 years.

The children have been produced before the Child Welfare Committee and have been sent to an open shelter in Ambala district. The daily diary registration has been done in the case. However, the FIR registration is under process. No arrest has been made so far as the Police will take action on behalf of orders of the CWC.
