On 10th February 2022, 6 child labourers were rescued from Malegaon area of Kamrup Metro in coordination with the Labour Department, DCPU, Police and team of BBA. The children were working in hotels and garages in the area. The children were in the age group of 14-17 years and belonged to the state of Assam and Bihar.
The registration of FIR is under process and children have been produced before the Child Welfare Committee.
