On 14th December 2021, BBA Telangana team along with AHTU Rachakonda , Labour Department and DCPU of Medchal rescued 16 child labourers from HP Hitech Printers Private Limited at IDA Nacharam. All the children belonged to the state of West Bengal who were trafficked by the contractors who also worked as employees in the same company.
The children were made to work for more than 12 hours each day and were paid a minimum amount of 6000-7000 INR per month. The contractor also got a commission of Rs. 1000/- for each child for bringing them from West Bengal.
A complaint has been lodged against 4 accused and filing of FIR is in process under sections 75, 79 of JJ Act, 14 of CLPRA and 374 of IPC.
