On 14th September 2021, a 13 year old deaf and dumb girl child domestic labour was rescued from B Block, Vivek Vihar area in New Delhi. The rescue operation was conducted jointly by the Tehsildar Vivek Vihar, Labour department, Police Station Vivek Vihar, Child line and team of BBA.
The girl belonging to Lakhimpur Khiri District was found in a poor health condition and used to do all the household chores including cleaning, washing clothes, utensils, cooking etc.
The Child has been produced before the Child Welfare Committee and further counseling has been initiated. The process of FIR registration is under process.
In the SDM order, section 3, 14 of child labour act, sec 16, 17 of Bonded labour Act, Sec 75,79 of JJ Act and Sec 370, 374 of IPC (Trafficking).
